Winnifred Brown Glaude Biography Winnifred Brown Glaude is a widely known Professor in the departments of African American Studies and Sociology & Anthropology at The College of New Jersey (USA). She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from Temple University in 2003. Her primary fields of research include Race and Ethnicity in the Anglophone-Caribbean; Gender, Race and Informal Economies; Globalization and Gender.
Winnifred Brown’s most recent book was Higgler’s in Kingston; Women’s Informal Work in Jamaica (Vanderbilt University Press, 2011).
